Visit www.voki.com to create these little "scenes" for your website or homework blog. You can design your own or shoose a pre-set avatar (like I've done), and add audio to it to add verbal instruction to any part of your Weebly page. This Voki was added to my blog by dragging the "Custom HTML" element to the page. When you click "Publish Your Voki," on the site, it produces the HTML code for you to paste into that element. You can choose to display it as small, medium, or large. Don't have a microphone to record your own voice? Just use the "text-to-speech" option like I have. Type in your text, and choose the voice you want to read it. (Most laptops come with a built-in microphone, however.) If you want to utilize this in a presentation like Mimio or PowerPoint, simply use the URL link on Voki to link ot the website. See theTeacher's Corner section of Voki's website here. It contains helpful hints and ideas and forums to view when things don't seem to work right. | Catch: the computer on which the Voki is being viewed must have correct audio settings, or the Voki won't play. |
